Future Plans: Electric Cello V2 or Smaller Cello
After having built 3 guitars, I now feel confident that I can make this cello so much better if I come back to it. First, I want to implement multiple carbon fiber tubes along the entire length of the cello. Second, the neck must be wood unless I find a way to get my hands on a CNC to make a strong metal piece that will hold the rod that braces the cello neck or find a way to design it in a much stronger way without sacrificing the appearance of the cello. Lastly, I want to add proper bass electronics like pickups instead of using piezos to produce sound.
In the future, I would also love to make a cello that's smaller, portable, and unlike a traditional cello. It wouldn't have the bouts and would be more in the style of the Ibanez upright bass or the NS Design Electric Cello.
